As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), we provide a wide range of IT services that help enhance learning environments and streamline administrative processes.


As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Network Engineer with a strong interest in network switching to join our Customer Solutions Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants hands-on experience working across multiple education environments.


You will support the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of switching infrastructure across our customer base. You’ll work alongside our Senior Network Engineer on projects ranging from network refreshes to new school deployments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Configure, deploy, and maintain managed switches (VLANs, trunking, STP, port security)
  • Support Layer 2 and basic Layer 3 networking
  • Assist with network upgrades and infrastructure refresh projects
  • Troubleshoot switching and connectivity issues
  • Work with wireless, firewall, and server infrastructure when required
  • Document network designs and maintain technical records
  • Provide occasional onsite support to education clients

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with managed switches (e.g., Cisco, HP/Aruba, Ubiquiti, TP Link etc.)
  • Understanding of switching concepts (VLANs, tagging, trunking)
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable skills and certifications:


  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
