The team are based in London. Our work focuses on delivering retrofit and net zero carbon advisory services (including strategic advisory at property and portfolio level including baselining and road-mapping net zero interventions). You’ll be crucial in ensuring technical quality across our portfolio of net zero retrofit projects. With your passion, enthusiasm, and experience, you'll be instrumental in driving progress on Net Zero and climate change.

Your purpose:

  • Calculation of energy and carbon emissions from a range of technology types, including energy efficiency, renewable, and heat decarbonisation feasibility studies. Knowledgeable regarding relevant standards, benchmarks, and guidance for example: UKGBC, CIBSE, LETI, CRREM.
  • Experience modelling, workshopping, and reporting on net zero carbon roadmaps. Experience developing estate-wide sustainability strategies.
  • Experience designing net zero solutions for domestic and non-domestic buildings. Knowledgeable regarding funding routes, for example: Salix Finance.
  • Knowledgeable on design stage, construction, and in-use stages. Able to provide advice to clients and design teams on the most cost-effective and beneficial route to achieve sustainability targets.
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., engineers, buildings surveyors, project managers, consultants, cost managers and technical specialists) to deliver a client brief.
  • A proven track record of work-winning and client account management.
  • Experience developing proposed scopes of work, fee models, and proposals in response to ITTs or a client brief.

What you can bring:

  • MSc or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Building Services Engineer. Minimum of years of experience in the retrofit and sustainability sector. Experience carrying out energy audits of sites to understand energy use and feasible energy saving measures.
  • Experience baselining Scope 1 and 2 operational carbon emissions. Experience of building retrofit strategy development across a wide range of building types.
  • A strong understanding of building physics. An understanding of technologies and approaches that can be used to enhance building performance.
  • Measurement and Verification (design and application of M&V Plans in accordance with IPMVP or other recognised standard).
  • Experience integrating wider sustainability objectives into net zero strategies and programmes (for example: circular economy principles, biodiversity net gain, social value, ecosystem services, climate resilience and adaptation, and operational resilience).
  • Experience baselining Scope 3 carbon emissions.Experience developing or delivering climate adaptation / mitigation strategies.Passivhaus knowledge.
  • Low Carbon Energy Assessor accreditation would be beneficial.Experience of carbon and sustainability reporting (e.g. TCFD).
