Job Description
A senior leadership role to deploy data driven change across Instruction Capture, create predictive data analytics and efficiency improvement initiatives, design, develop and implement intelligent automation solutions in Securities Services Operations to improve client experience and scale the business.
As a Securities Services Operations Transformation - Data & Metrics Instruction Capture Vice President in the Securities Services Operations - Transformation team, you will be part of the Instruction Capture Pillar, instrumental to define the strategy, develop solutions and execution plans that accelerate Ops move to target state in collaboration with Product Development, Product, Operations and Technology stakeholders. In this role you will use your strong data analytics, data quality and process improvement skills across Funds, Custody, Middle Office and Trading Services, communication skills combined with outstanding executive presentation skills, with the ability to bring people together and face off to colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Job responsibilities

  • Delivers the data analytics strategy for Operations with a lens on Instruction Capture to support the globally consistent strategy in developing for scale and resiliency
  • Acts as a strong people influencer and program manager, to deliver proof of concepts/experiments, Minimum Viable Products and execute on incubation ideas, that will span across lines of businesses and locations, while ensuring adherence to governance and controls
  • Develops operating models to reduce manual processes across various lines of business and leads design and data solutions workshops with clients and Operations leadership/subject matter experts to identify data quality improvement opportunities
  • Develops business case, solution design, implementation/execution plan and plan for operational readiness and deliver outcomes
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and clients to understand their requirements and expectations, ensuring that deliverables meet their needs and enhance overall client satisfaction
  • Identifies and mitigates potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Provides guidance, direction, and support to project teams, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Identifies, continuously, opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and automation to enhance operational performance
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive project reports, metrics, and KPIs to provide insights into project progress and performance
  • Collaborates with technology teams to integrate innovative solutions into the securities services operations landscape, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business goals
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the securities services domain to provide strategic insights and ensure JP Morgan's competitiveness


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience in financial services or a related industry sector such as professional services, or consulting
  • Experience in Securities Services Operations or Markets Operations
  • Understanding of Instruction Capture processes, tools and the end to end transaction lifecycle and operating model
  • Experience in driving initiatives in Automation, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Analytics required
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets and drive results
  • Strong programme and project management skills
  • Proven organizational leadership capabilities with a strong emphasis on engagement, client satisfaction, culture, conduct, risk, and governance
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusivity of thought, excellence in execution, and an attention to detail across all you do

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Degree such as Masters Degree, MBA, CFA or relevant certifications
  • Data Analytics skills, with the ability to drive data driven operational decisions
  • Experience in Business Intelligence Tools, SQL, Databases etc. highly preferred
  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Automation tools/workflows used to solve for Instruction Capture
