Sales Executive – New Building Solutions

We have an exciting job opportunity for a Sales Executive to join the London & South team, selling lifts into new buildings and covering the London & South region.

As Sales Executive you will be responsible to meet your orders sales targets for new lifts through managing relationships with existing Key Accounts and by proactively prospection for new business.   In this role you will be expected to maximise business from repeat customers and manage targeted sales campaigns to attract new customers and explore new markets whilst always ensuring KONE’s order book and profitability targets are met.

Day to day key responsibilities:

  • Proactively account manage existing customer relationships
  • Accountable for developing and growing KONE’s position within your sales area with new customers and into new market segments. 
  • Operate at a consultative sales level mindset, guiding and supporting customers with technical clarifications and supporting advice regarding codes and standards.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and good collaboration with the rest of KONE team.
  • Manages Salesforce CRM records ensuring they are detailed, accurate and up to date.
  • Focus on early customer engagement supporting cost plans and early designs and where necessary support customers BSR Gateway applications.
  • Creates leads and sales opportunities for entire KONE sales team (e.g., cross-selling.)
  • Expectation within this role is for 2-3 days being spent in the field with customers.
  • Accountable for hand-over to installation / engineering and design engineers as necessary.
  • Upselling of KONE digital solutions.
  • Maintains full information of opportunities, tasks, and customer visits.
  • Timely and accurate forecasting and reporting.

Skills and experience required:

  • Lift industry experience is desirable.
  • Industry & construction experience is essential.
  • Technical, engineering and contractual sales background is desirable.
  • Sales & account management experience (maintaining & growing existing customers as well as new business generation) is essential.
  • Experienced in managing a high volume of tenders and customer contracts.
  • Possess good negotiation skills and ability to close deals with large B2B customers.
  • Excellent understanding of value selling propositions.
  • Results driven.
  • Effective communication skills and able to influence both internal & external stakeholders.
  • Proficient Microsoft skills and experience of using CRM (Salesforce).
  • Good written and spoken English.
