Purpose of the Role

This role is responsible for delivering effective, on‑brand motion graphics as part of a busy in‑house creative studio supporting a major financial services client. The Middle Weight Motion Graphics Designer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Developers, Designers, Motion, and Film/Photography, to convert complex ideas into clear, compliant motion assets. The position plays a key part in maintaining brand integrity, meeting tight deadlines, and ensuring all motion deliverables adhere to the creative, technical, and regulatory standards required within a highly regulated environment.

Key Skills
  • Ability to translate briefs into high‑quality 2D and 3D motion graphics across social, DOOH, internal communications, product explainers, and other brand‑led formats
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop (core tools for daily delivery)
  • Working knowledge of Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Audition, Expressions (JSX), and Cinema 4D, with an ability to integrate assets smoothly across the Adobe and/or C4D workflow
  • Capability to follow brand motion systems, adhere to digital brand guidelines, and maintain clean, well‑organised project files
  • Confident in delivering on‑brand, on‑time assets, including exporting correctly for multiple channels and quality‑checking all outputs
Key Competencies
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Able to advise clients and internal teams on feasible design and technical solutions, formats, and timelines
  • Deadline management: Comfortable negotiating and managing deadlines while handling a high volume of briefs in a fast‑paced environment
  • Attention to detail: Demonstrates accuracy, precision, and consistency, particularly in brand fidelity, typography, layout, and technical delivery standards
  • Cross‑functional teamwork: Works effectively with Video Production & MGFX Team Leads, Editors, Producers, Developers, and Film/Photography teams
  • Calm under pressure: Maintains a steady, solution‑oriented approach in a demanding, time‑sensitive environment
  • Creative problem‑solving: Generates visual solutions that clarify complex information and elevate brand storytelling
  • Clear communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to support smooth project delivery and stakeholder alignment
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in in‑house motion design, ideally within financial services or other regulated sectors
  • Comfort working within brand‑strict, regulated environments, translating complex material into clean, compliant visual outputs
  • Experience creating motion toolkits/templates, establishing looks (LUT alignment), applying light audio polish/sound design, and optimising render workflows
  • Familiarity with Redshift or Octane within Cinema 4D for elevated 3D look‑development (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven ability to deliver pixel‑perfect, brand‑aligned motion across multiple formats and channels
Portfolio Requirements

Candidates should provide:

  • A showreel or curated project links demonstrating brand‑aligned motion work, ideally including financial or professional services examples
