About Tilt 🛸

Tilt’s mission is simple: Make Commerce Alive.

From static store website builders to impersonal marketplaces, today's ecosystem is aging fast. It was built for transactional experiences, not for the new generation of merchants who grow through attention, community and personality.

In the UK alone, millions of shoppers, from sneakerheads and Y2K girlies to collectors and parents, have signed up to Tilt. Our platform has helped sellers go from zero to £1M+ in earnings, and hundreds more earn above the UK median income.
And we are just getting started.

Your Mission 🫵

You will join as the third Product Designer for our lean, highly ambitious and equally talented team to help us build exponentially better user experiences. We are a fast-moving company and expect excellence.

In this role, you will have direct impact on both design culture and product strategy to materialise product ideas and bring them to life in close collaboration with our engineering and product teams. You will set the standard for how the future of shopping looks and create memorable experiences for our users.

What You'll Do 👷

As a Mid/Senior Product Designer on our Buyers team, you'll create exceptional shopping experiences for millions of users while collaborating across engineering, product, marketing, and data. Beyond buyer journeys, you'll get stuck into projects spanning seller experiences and growth initiatives.
You'll contribute to design culture at Tilt; sharing your work openly, raising the craft bar across the team, and helping evolve our design systems. This is an opportunity to do some of the best work of your career at a company moving fast.

  • Design and own end-to-end buyer experiences across iOS, Android, and Web, using research and data to validate decisions and ship high-quality work.

  • Drive core product areas including onboarding, discovery, purchase experience, and checkout.

  • Champion user needs through research and data to identify problems and design high-impact solutions.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and data teams to define roadmaps and ideate new features.

  • Apply UX principles consistently and raise the bar for craft across everything you ship.

  • Contribute to and evolve the Tilt Design System and brand identity.

  • Play an active role in our design culture, giving sharp feedback and pushing the team to be better.

0–3 months

  • Build a deep understanding of our product, customers, and market through user research, data, and insights.

  • Design and ship your first key features end-to-end, setting a high craft bar from day one.

  • Partner with product and design to uncover high-impact opportunities and experiments.

  • Spot weaknesses in our design processes, rituals, and tools, and propose changes that strengthen quality.

  • Collaborate with marketing and growth to shape engaging mechanics for our new shopping experience.

3+ months

  • Become a trusted voice in product strategy, influencing direction across teams.

  • Drive a high-craft culture within product teams, pushing for consistency, polish, and clear UX principles.

  • Help shape how we explore, validate, and build product at Tilt.

  • Champion fast, evidence-driven decision-making across the team.

Who You Are 📋

  • A craft-obsessed designer with a drive to build the best product, not just a good one.

  • You love watching people who are great at what they do, and you want to learn how to do it yourself. You study craft like an athlete studies film.

  • Track record of shipping meaningful work, ideally including products taken from 0 to 1.

  • Your portfolio shows real strength across visual design, prototyping, interaction, motion, and systems thinking, with a feel for platform-specific patterns.

  • You move quickly through prototyping and iteration without sacrificing strategic thinking.

  • A natural collaborator who thrives on feedback and wants to grow fast.

  • Bonus: experience in e-commerce, social platforms, and/or early-stage startups.
