What You'll Bring:

  • Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript: 5+ years of experience with a deep understanding of ES6+, asynchronous programming, and strong typing to ensure scalable, error-free applications.

  • Framework Expertise: Proven experience building production-ready applications with Next.js or Nuxt.js, including a strong grasp of Static Site Generation (SSG).

  • Modern CSS & UI: Proficiency in utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS libraries, with a focus on creating responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces from Figma or similar design tools.

  • State Management: Experience managing complex application states using tools like Pinia, (or vuex).

  • API Integration: Strong experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs and handling data-intensive operations with tools like Axios or Fetch.

  • Testing & Quality: Ability to write maintainable code backed by unit and integration tests.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Project Ownership: Take features from scoping and requirement gathering through to launch and maintenance with minimal supervision.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve web application performance, including page load speeds and SEO optimization.

  • Code Quality: Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and architectural consistency.

  • Communication: Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Proactive in researching and implementing new tools or industry trends to keep the tech stack modern.

For positions based in South Africa, preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the company's Employment Equity plan and targets.

Please note it is a requirement of the Global Capability Centre Africa that you reside in a home that is fibre ready; and has space for you to be able to work comfortably and confidentially on a day-to-day basis for the purpose of your proposed employment. You can be based anywhere in South Africa that has fibre, but will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.

A Minimum of a 100/100 Meg Fibre line is required, should you be successful, you will need to upgrade your line or install fibre for day one.
