MI Developer


Role Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled MI Developer to support the MI Lead in delivering robust and insightful reporting solutions across the organization. As an integral member of the Management Information team, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing reporting systems and data processes. Your contributions will enable the organization to make informed decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and drive performance improvements.


You will work closely with the MI Lead, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to ensure data integrity, provide insightful analytics, and support strategic initiatives within a fast-paced payments processing environment.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support MI Strategy Implementation: Assist the MI Lead in developing and executing the organization's MI strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Data Preparation and Analysis: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and availability for reporting and analysis.
  • Dashboard Development: Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or other platforms) to deliver real-time metrics and insights.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Work on ad hoc data analysis tasks to support various teams and strategic projects.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Partner with Finance, Operations, Product, and other teams to identify data needs and provide scalable solutions.
  • Data Governance: Support data governance practices by ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining standards for data security and quality.
  • System Optimization: Recommend and implement improvements in reporting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Professional Experience:
    • 3-5 years post-qualified experience, preferably in a Bank or other regulated financial services firm.
    • Extensive experience working in Tableau.
    • Ability to translate technical data into clear, concise information for non-technical audiences.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and add value.
    • Proactive and adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing and managing a varied workload.
    • A strong team player who thrives in a professional yet friendly environment.


Qualifications 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with MI tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.
  • ETL Skills: Strong proficiency in ETL processes and data transformation.
  • Analytical Ability: Capable of interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights for various stakeholders.
