Membership Data Analyst - Membership & CRM Analytics
£42,000 - £50,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre - in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office once per week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).  

We're looking for a Membership & CRM Data Analyst to join our Advanced Insight & Analytics team and help us better understand our members, customers and colleagues through data. You'll turn complex information into clear, actionable insights that help shape decisions across our Co-op, supporting our membership strategy and customer engagement activity. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll use data analysis, problem-solving and storytelling to uncover opportunities that drive better outcomes for our customers and the wider business.

What you’ll do

•    Analyse membership and CRM data to answer business questions and provide clear, data-driven recommendations
•    Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities where data can support decision-making
•    Source, manipulate and interrogate data from multiple systems to produce reliable analysis and insights
•    Use analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns and opportunities within customer data
•    Support the delivery of regular reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis requests across membership and customer engagement activities
•    Present findings in a clear and engaging way, helping technical and non-technical audiences understand the story behind the data
•    Contribute to cross-functional projects that use data and insight to improve member and customer outcomes
•    Share knowledge, best practice and success stories to help build a strong analytics community across Co-op

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

•    Experience working in a data analysis or analytics role, ideally within a customer, membership or CRM-focused environment
•    Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming and analysing data from multiple sources
•    Advanced Excel skills, you’re able to use different formulas and techniques to manipulate data, spot trends and produce meaningful insight
•    The ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for a range of audiences
•    Experience creating data visualisations and presenting insights in a clear and compelling way
•    A collaborative approach, with experience working closely with stakeholders and colleagues across different teams
•    A commercial mindset and a passion for using data to improve member experiences and business performance
•    Strong attention to detail and experience validating data, identifying anomalies and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of analysis and reporting outputs
