What You’ll do  

CrossBoundary is seeking an MBA Associate to join our global Power and Infrastructure Advisory team in London. We are looking for candidates with experience in the development or financing of power and infrastructure projects. The MBA Associate will engage in various aspects of the advisory practice, including business development, transaction support, and broader company initiatives. 
This program begins in early June and continue until early August and is a 12-week commitment, with some flexibility. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Leading transaction advisory work by: 
    • Supporting feasibility and pre-feasibility studies for critical infrastructure projects  
    • Sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities 
    • Supporting deal structuring and refining business models to drive bankable transactions 
    • Fundraising for transactions including supporting due diligence  
    • Post-investment strategy 
  • Supporting CrossBoundary’s growth in new sectors and markets by: 
    • Supporting RFP responses for strategic new business opportunities  
    • Proactive opportunity creating through ideation and co-creation with potential clients  
    • Developing thought leadership and supporting CB participation in external facing events like panels etc.  

Who You Are 

  • Current MBA candidate 
  • 3-4 years of experience working in project finance or Power and/or Infrastructure team at one or more of the following: a specialist advisor, a renewable energy/infrastructure developer with a sizable project portfolio, top-tier infrastructure fund, a development finance institution, a lender, or an investment bank.   
  • Excellent analytical ability, ability to think clearly, structure problems logically, and then design and implement solutions that focus on the core issues, even in ambiguous situations 
  • Strong comfort with PowerPoint and Excel – including skilled in basic accounting and financial modeling  
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences 
  • Ability to operate independently with good time management and attention to detail, and ability to achieve tangible outcomes in fast-moving and entrepreneurial environments 
  • An understanding and/or interest in the challenges and opportunities businesses and capital face in emerging and frontier markets, and macro-economic trends that impact them
