Markets Operations at Citi has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation covering all aspects of designing and delivering a future state target operating model: risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process re-engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. This is a large and complex undertaking.

The Markets Operations Transformation team has been formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to design and deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading operations change delivery team focusing on Programme and Project management, business analysis, process re-engineering, low code application development and PMO.

The team is currently recruiting for a Managers Control Assessment (MCA) Project Manager at SVP level to take a lead role as part of the Markets Operations Transformation team. The candidate will support the Markets Operations team to lead the extensive redesign of the MCA Project to holistically and systematically identify and address gaps across all key components of the MCA lifecycle.

Initial functional scope of this role will include MCA Project management for Markets Operations but may be subject to change as a result of business priorities, budgets and overall transformation priorities.

What you will do:

  • Lead and oversee the strategic direction, development and implementation of MCA policy and standard requirements
  • Implement MCA governance model, create Project plans, track and report. Coordinate gap analysis and drive remediation plans for Markets Ops
  • Partner with Markets Ops team and Risk and Control teams to assess gaps and identify remediation plans
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Wide Risk Management framework and Risk and Control processes
  • Track record of delivering and managing large Projects across multiple businesses and geographies
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to lead global teams in a large organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering change in a collaborative, agile team environment as well as more standard frameworks
  • Ability to monitor tight deadlines, or unexpected requirement changes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organise and prioritize work within a delivery framework
  • Strong collaboration, communication and coaching skills
  • Excellent client servicing and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to establish, build and maintain strong effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of virtual teams to deliver on strategic outcomes
  • Works with Operations stakeholders and builds and manages relationships.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure Project scope definition meets operations objective, ensuring requirements are clearly documented are strategic and are well understood by all stakeholders and Technology.
  • Support the Operations line team with their test preparation and execution
  • Leads the identification and drives resolution of issues, including those outside of the immediate workstream within their remit.
  • Drives adherence to Project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for Project delivery as defined by Citi PM standards.

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked with Transformation as a Business Analyst, Project Manager managing teams and delivery on large, strategic cross-functional Projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Global Markets and Global Markets Operations
  • Prior Risk and Control Project Management and Governance experience a plus
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or MBA are a plus
