Job title: Marketing & Communications Manager

Reports to: Group Head of External Affairs

 Location: Hybrid - Working from any of our main locations (Redditch, Denton or Sheffield)

Job purpose: To design, develop and execute marketing and communication activities for B&S Group, across a wide range of media, both externally, in support of the sales strategy and internally in support of the people strategy

Principal activities:

• Promotion of the B&S Group brands across multiple channels, developing robust, clear and consistent messaging in support of our brand value proposition, including:

o Ownership, development and management of Group social media policy.

o Managing posts to social media sites, both scheduled and ad-hoc.

• Assist with the development and delivery of the marketing strategy to support growth aspirations and sales activity, including:

o Develop specific print and online marketing collateral to include copywriting, creating and designing of literature, presentations and web content.

o Ongoing budgetary control to ensuring all activity costs are managed effectively, including compiling and monitoring marketing/event related expenditure from other stakeholders in the business.

o Reporting on marketing activity to ensure continued focus on ROI

o Organise attendance at industry events, and run client hospitality, including booking stands, developing concepts, merchandise etc.

• Assist with the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy to drive engagement in support of the Group strategic objectives, including:

o Supporting with development of internal communication channels such as a group intranet.

o Supporting the HR team to successfully deliver key people initiatives.

o Assist with the development of internal activities which increase employee participation and engagement.

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including sales, client services, HR, senior management.

Key skills:

• Good understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels

• Strong copywriting, proofreading and editing skills

• Event management experience

• Excellent organisational skills and astute attention to detail

• Good working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign.

• Confident to edit photos, audio, and video.
