Join our M&S Food PR & Social Media team, where we live and breathe food, storytelling and social. We’re looking for an Assistant Creative & Content Social Media Manager to help shape and deliver engaging, social-first content across our platforms, building the brand, driving sales and connecting with customers. 

This is a fast-paced, creative role where no two days are the same. You’ll support the Social Lead in delivering our strategy, while owning key campaigns and content from idea through to execution and performance analysis. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, plugged into trends and excited to bring ideas to life in a dynamic retail environment.

What you’ll do 

  • Supporting the delivery of the M&S Food social media strategy across all core channels 
  • Creating and delivering engaging, social-first content, from concept through to execution 
  • Leading influencer campaigns end-to-end across key categories and moments 
  • Identifying and reacting to social trends, bringing fresh and creative ideas into the brand 
  • Analysing performance and turning insights into clear actions to improve future content 

Who you are 

  • Previous experience in a social media or content-focused role 
  • Strong understanding of social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook  
  • Creative attitude with a good eye for content, storytelling and what drives engagement 
  • Experience planning content and handling social calendars 
  • Confidence using data and insights to evaluate performance and shape future plans
