  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK market

  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team

This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.

Chivas Regal is one of the world’s leading luxury spirit brands and a highly strategic priority within the Pernod Ricard group. The brand has recently undergone a fundamental evolution of its positioning and switched to a new cultural platform in elite sports. This has led us to redefine our approach to communicating with our consumer.

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to lead compelling communications plans that ensure that Chivas is at the heart of cultural conversations.

This role will be responsible for embedding the new cultural platform and sports partnerships across our global markets through powerful activation strategies, and lead on developing new communications campaigns that help drive these forward.

Your unique contribution

Note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role will have four main responsibilities:

Communications:

  • Determine the vision for the Chivas Regal communications strategy and agenda in collaboration with Global Brand Director
  • Lead all aspects of global advertising, from ideation to launch in market, to create seamless 360 campaigns that drive brand relevance and bring the cultural platform to life
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure creative excellence – from creative development through to amplification and campaign effectiveness
  • Oversee all key drive market communications initiatives to ensure consistency with global brand direction and strategy
  • Collaborate with innovation team to develop compelling communications strategies for new products
  • Work closely with insights teams to ensure all campaigns go through appropriate testing for creative effectiveness
  • Oversee transcreation and adaptation process for all campaign content, ensuring the brand shows up consistently across global markets
  • Oversee budget management across all communication campaigns and ensure A&P is effectively allocated to support the communication agenda in priority markets

Partnerships:

  • Lead the brand partnership with Charles Leclerc, managing the contract and day to day relationship with partner, ensuring a professional and excellent level of service
  • Lead the content and activation strategy across the partnership, ensuring efficient use of all the contract deliverables to drive the most value for the brand

Planning:

  • Develop compelling activation strategies for markets to implement the brand cultural platform locally
  • Lead regular global market communications to deliver communication and activation strategies throughout the financial year
  • Support markets on building clear and consistent consumer activation maps and plans that drive brand objectives
  • Work closely with internal social and PR teams to ensure global campaign amplification is truly integrated and delivers on propelling the brand forwards in culture

Leadership:

  • Manage two direct reports, supporting their growth and experience within the communications field
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on a daily basis to ensure we deliver and execute compelling campaigns and activations in local markets

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you’ll work with Markets, CCM’s, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Innovation teams.

Externally, your contacts will be our creative partners, production companies and talent managers.
