What you'll do

The Marketing Manager will support market-leading Beauty Partnerships and projects, working closely with the external partners and internal teams across marketing, commercial, online, stores, loyalty, insights and finance.
The role leads the Beauty marketing strategy, annual planning with partners marketing teams, and co-creates briefs, ensuring proposition, message, customer journey, partner requirements, budget, timings and KPIs are aligned. 
A core part of the role is to manage the marketing relationship with Beauty partner teams, building strong joint planning rhythms and ensuring alignment on activity, owners, approvals and measures of success. 
•    Support the development of the Beauty marketing strategy and annual plan, ensuring activity supports Beauty growth, new customer acquisition and halo into wider M&S categories
•    Act as the central day-to-day marketing lead for Beauty partner teams, ensuring M&S and partners are aligned on strategy, activity, timings, outputs, approval routes and measures of success 
•    Co-create the core marketing brief with Beauty partners and internal M&S teams, ensuring channel teams have a clear customer proposition, message hierarchy, creative guardrails, customer journey, budget parameters and KPIs
•    Develop joined-up launch, campaign, trade, seasonal and always-on marketing plans across Beauty Partnerships and Beauty transformation activity working together with the commercial teams in JBP
•    Coordinate partner marketing inputs across campaign planning, trade moments, brand visibility, content, creative, social, PR, online, stores and customer comms.
•    Build and manage a clear planning rhythm with Beauty partners, including joint planning meetings, action logs, decision trackers, approval timelines and performance reviews.
•    Work closely with commercial, brand, online, VAS and partner teams to support trade marketing planning, brand visibility packages and annual marketing calendars.
•    Own marketing budget management for Beauty Partnership activity, including phasing, tracking, reporting, risks, opportunities and alignment to agreed activity plans.
•    Support reporting and performance reviews across campaigns, partner activity and annual plans, ensuring learnings are captured and fed into future activity.

Who you are

•    Omnichannel marketing experience, with the ability to develop plans that can be activated across channels
•    Proven experience developing strategic marketing briefs and translating business objectives into clear customer, creative and channel direction
•    Strong partner management skills, with experience building joint plans and managing alignment across external partners, commercial teams and internal stakeholders
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify detail into clear briefs, updates, decisions and recommendations
•    Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence working across senior leaders, commercial teams, channel specialists and external partner teams
•    Experience managing marketing budgets, phasing, reporting and spend tracking
•    Experience working with commercial and trade teams to shape trade marketing packages and funded partner activity
•    Strong attention to detail, particularly across messaging, partner approvals, budgets, timings and governance
•    Collaborative, proactive and highly organised, with the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving at pace
