JOB DETAILS
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing
Location: London

JOB PURPOSE

The Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing effective marketing strategies and campaign plans for an international trade exhibition(s) and conference(s). Using traditional and innovative marketing techniques, the Marketing Executive will support the drive to attract visitors, delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and press.

The Marketing Executive will also put forward ideas, develop new initiatives and apply their B2B marketing experience, to enhance and develop marketing activity.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Contribute to all aspects of event marketing activity, ensuring best practice marketing techniques, and communicating a clear promotional message
•    Email marketing: Manage and schedule e-marketing campaigns for exhibitor, sponsor and visitor campaigns; report on analytics and recommendations for email success; become an expert in what constitutes an effective email campaign
•    Email marketing: Develop a strategy for email automation, to streamline e-marketing campaigns
•    Website: Manage website updates to ensure event site is kept updated with latest content and news; develop SEO knowledge, and make recommendations to enhance user journey; utilize GA4 to report on site traffic and behaviour  
•    Data: Manage data segmentations to support communications plans; support in identifying data gaps and brief in new sources of data
•    Social Media: Manage social media schedule; create and schedule posts via Hootsuite; create digital assets; drive user engagement; report on channel growth and analytics
•    Marketing collaterals: Lead copy writing, design and production of exhibition, sponsorship and visitor marketing collaterals, including brochures, adverts, website graphics and social and digital assets
•    Marketing administration, including proof reading, delivering advertising copy, responding to enquiries, monitoring competitor activity etc.
•    Oversee the design process for digital banners, support event brochure updates, manage exhibitor announcements, and ensure brochure updates are completed.
•    Provide onsite support to ensure the smooth running of marketing-related activity (i.e. communications, temp staff, placement of materials, photo and video)

JOB CONTEXT

This role works closely with the sales, sponsorship, marketing and content teams to manage the marketing activities for exhibitor, sponsor and visitor promotion, including website management, community engagement, and reporting on performance. 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:   Marketing qualification is advantageous.

Minimum Experience: 2 years’ marketing experience 

Job-Specific Skills: 
•    Experience in the use of databases in targeted direct marketing campaigns
•    Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organisation
•    Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Copy writing
•    HTML proficient
