Job Description
As an Executive Director in our Corporate and Private Side Sales Equity and Credit team, you will work on episodic transactions as part of the private side markets business. You will originate, structure, and negotiate tailored private credit transactions for corporate clients and funds. You will collaborate with investment banking departments and trading desks, ensuring a unique and dynamic role within the firm. Based in London but operating in a global team, you will closely collaborate with our continental European team.
Job Responsibilities

  • Steer and expand private credit product offering, with a focus on alternative and illiquid structures.
  • Partner with marketers/salesforce, investment bankers, capital markets bankers, and traders to structure and distribute transactions.
  • Open up distribution channels within the private credit market through in-person engagement and product education of the public side syndicate and sales functions.
  • Work closely with control functions in market, credit and reputation risk, compliance, legal, accounting, and tax.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated work experience in investment banking or (private) capital markets in a front office role.
  • Network of clients and counterparties, including at level comparable to portfolio manager in funds or C-suite or C-suite - 1 in corporates.
  • Understanding of complex financing arrangements and private credit products.
  • Ability to confidently interact with people across lines of business and functions and at all levels within the organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and influence partners and stakeholders.
  • Reliable and team-player personality, comfortable working in a small, hands-on team.


This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
