Job Description:

Datasite is where deals are made. Driving transactions in 180 countries. Delivering at the highest level, across sell-side, buy-side, and beyond.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing for EMEA & APAC, the Marketing Director will be responsible for localising and executing the EMEA marketing strategy and plan for the Northern Europe region. This is a crucial role within the team to localize our marketing and drive demand generation across the different regional channels from events and conferences to email, web, social media, search, and display.  

It is a permanent full-time role based in London with an opportunity to establish marketing in the country and grow the role and the team in the coming years.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Localise and execute the marketing strategy and plan for Northern Europe, based on the EMEA Marketing strategy and plan. 

  • Drive demand generation in the region, both offline and online. 

  • Optimise and measure the success of the different activities and initiatives. 

  • Report on the impact of leads, opportunities, cost per lead, cost per opportunity and the overall return on marketing investment. 

  • As the regional presence grows, build and manage a local marketing team, and take ownership of the regional marketing budget. 

  • Act as a strategic marketing partner to local Sales leadership and regional stakeholders. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve regional marketing performance based on market insight, performance data, and commercial feedback.

Skills 

  • Fluency in English (written & spoken); an additional Northern European language is an advantage.  

  • Good understanding of the right and most effective marketing mix and channels in the Northern Europe region, including events, conferences, email, web, social media, paid search, and display. 

  • Digital savviness in terms of executing local initiatives over different tools and channels. 

  • Experience with AI, CRM (e.g. salesforce), marketing, and social media tools is an advantage (e.g. Pardot, LinkedIn and Sitefinity). 

  • Persuasive communication and people skills - written and verbal. 

  • Ability to translate marketing performance data into meaningful business insights. 

  • Propensity to respond to deadlines ahead of schedule. 

  • Meticulous and analytical with strong planning skills. 

  • Strong organisational skills.  

  • Experience collaborating with external partners and suppliers. 

  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism. 

  • PC proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications knowledge (Copilot, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint). 

 

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, business or related fields is desirable. 

  • A master’s degree in marketing or related fields is an advantage. 

 

Knowledge & Experience 

  • Minimum 7-12 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in a regional, field marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing role within a global organisation. 

  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing. 

  • Previous experience in a technology SaaS company would be a great advantage, ideally in the financial services/legal sectors. 

  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and senior stakeholders is preferred. 

  • Previous people management experience is an advantage, but not required. 

  • Candidates must have full eligibility to work in the UK without any restrictions.
