In this newly established role as Marketing Director for the Boys Consumer Audience, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our marketing model to meet the demands of a dynamic media landscape. Join us in leading innovative initiatives that connect with our core audience, ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and impactful. Together, we will redefine how we communicate and engage with boys, crafting unforgettable brand experiences that encourage fun, creativity and imagination!

Core Responsibilities

You will lead initiatives to evolve our marketing model on the fast and ever-changing media landscape and boys culture. Your responsibilities include:

Brand Leadership

  • Establish a new model for engaging boys, applying innovative strategies across established and new platforms.

  • Lead Task forces with different functions and be a change agent across the company.

  • Develop an annual marketing strategy for the boys audience in collaboration with franchise marketing leads, internal teams, and market partners.

  • Orchestrate a cohesive experience within The LEGO Group ecosystem by collaborating with franchise marketing leads, platform and channel owners.

  • Work closely with Our LEGO AGENCY, driving specific campaigns from briefing to delivery.

  • Ensure cohesive strategy translation throughout the consumer journey, from inspiration to point-of-sale.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the portfolio strategy team for synergistic marketing and portfolio planning.

  • Work closely with the other Audience team to share and benchmark effective approaches.

  • Provide insights into culture and trends for portfolio development.

  • Co-own the selling-in process with the portfolio team for market groups and retail customers.

Leadership

  • Actively participate in key meetings and leadership forums as a member of the Global Consumer Group Kids team.

  • Serve as a day-to-day leader within the team, driving agendas and encouraging a skilled group of professionals.

Business Leadership

  • Monitor business performance, industry trends, and competition, acting on insights.

  • Collaborate with the Portfolio team to develop a robust global launch and marketing plan.

  • Engage with markets to track performance and implement global strategies.

  • Respond with actionable plans if business performance requires so.

With the biggest offering in the LEGO Group comes also high complexity, so there is an opportunity to orchestrate better our communications and most importantly, evolve it towards a very fast changing landscape. Working alongside a high-performance team, we will renovate the way we do Marketing for this audience.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree in a business-related field, ideally Marketing, with relevant experience in similar Marketing Director roles or clear potential for promotion.

  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to brand growth and leading commercially successful campaigns.

  • Proficient in new communication areas, including SoMe, Gaming, Influencers, and Content Marketing.

  • Thrives in an agile, interconnected, matrixed organization, turning consumer, shopper, and market insights into actionable strategies.

  • Strong blend of commercial and creative skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to drive meaningful innovation and travel as needed (not more than 10 days/year).
