Marketing Director – Access LearningAbout you

We're seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts at Access Learning as we enter an exciting growth phase. As the marketing leader for our learning management and skills development solutions, you'll be responsible for driving both new customer acquisition and expansion within our existing client base across education providers, corporate training teams, and skills development organisations.

This is a pivotal role where you'll position Access Learning as the essential platform for organisations seeking to transform how they deliver learning and develop skills. You'll craft compelling narratives around how our solutions enable better learning outcomes, improved compliance, and enhanced skills development – addressing both the opportunities and challenges learning and development professionals face in today's evolving landscape.

As a seasoned marketing leader, you'll provide strategic direction to senior stakeholders across the business, demonstrating how marketing directly contributes to revenue growth and customer success in the learning and skills development software market. You'll work closely with our sales, product development, and customer success teams to deliver against ambitious growth plans whilst building and elevating Access Learning's market position through strategic PR, thought leadership, and targeted marketing initiatives.

Day-to-day, you will

Strategic Marketing: Partner with key leaders to align on targets and resources, integrate acquisitions into the Learning portfolio, and represent customer needs to drive business goals across the education and corporate learning markets.

Pipeline and Revenue Focus: Take overall responsibility for pipeline KPIs aligned to orders requirements across all sales motions (new business, expansion, renewal, and partner-led), ensuring marketing delivers the volume, quality, and timing of opportunities needed to meet revenue targets through innovative demand generation.

Digital Marketing Leadership: Oversee integrated campaigns leveraging SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, and webinars – all tailored to the education and corporate learning sectors' unique buying behaviours and requirements.

Customer Growth Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to expand revenue within the existing customer base, identifying opportunities for product adoption, feature upgrades, and service expansion across the learning management suite.

Market Leadership: Position Access Learning as the definitive solution for organisations seeking excellence in learning delivery and skills development, elevating market visibility and reputation within chosen education and corporate learning sectors through strategic PR and thought leadership.

ICP Alignment: Continuously refine and evangelise the Ideal Customer Profile, ensuring all marketing activities are laser-focused on attracting and retaining the right organisations that will derive maximum value from our learning solutions.

Sector Expertise: Stay current with education and corporate learning industry trends, regulatory changes, and technology adoption patterns to ensure messaging and positioning remain relevant and compelling.

Leadership and Team: Build and motivate a high-performing marketing team with deep expertise in B2B SaaS and education/corporate learning sector marketing, managing workloads to meet strategic objectives.

Data and Operations: Implement robust analytics frameworks to measure campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and revenue attribution, using insights to continuously improve ROI whilst ensuring data regulation compliance and communicating effectively at all levels.

Your skills and experiences include

Progressive marketing leadership experience in B2B SaaS, with preference for education technology, learning management systems, or professional services software.

Extensive digital marketing experience with proven ability to drive growth through integrated online campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, marketing automation, and conversion rate optimisation.

Demonstrable experience in customer marketing and designing programmes that increase product adoption and customer lifetime value.

Skilled in lead generation, website optimisation, content marketing, and digital tools, with a solid understanding of the full customer journey for learning and skills development software solutions.

Strong understanding of the education and corporate learning sectors, including how training and development teams operate, technology adoption patterns, and the unique challenges of the learning management market.

Experience managing PR agencies and executing thought leadership campaigns that elevate brand perception in targeted verticals, securing media coverage and speaking engagements that position the organisation as an innovator.

Able to execute marketing initiatives and develop strategies that drive strong growth, making data-driven decisions to optimise ROI whilst tying marketing activities directly to revenue outcomes.

Excellence in stakeholder management, with ability to present to and influence C-suite executives, board members, and senior business leaders whilst demonstrating full accountability and a commercial mindset.

Willingness to challenge the status quo to achieve targets in competitive markets, bringing fresh thinking and innovative approaches to drive growth.
