About iWaqf powered by Wahed:
iWaqf powered by Wahed is an exciting new endowment product, built to democratise waqfs so anyone can create their own. It’s backed by Wahed, the world’s largest Islamic fintech, managing over $2 billion in assets for more than 450,000 investors.

A waqf is a charitable gift that lasts in perpetuity. Instead of a one-time donation, your gift is invested, and the returns are distributed to the charities and causes you choose, year after year.

For centuries, waqfs funded schools, hospitals and wells across the Muslim world. We’re bringing that tradition into the modern day, making it simple, transparent and accessible to everyone.

Job Description:

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves. You’ll work across three areas.

    Design and content
  • Design marketing assets for social, email, web, ads and events using tools like Canva or Figma
  • Create engaging content, including short-form video, that explains waqfs simply and makes people want to give
  • Write newsletters, email campaigns, landing page and event copy
  • Plan and run campaigns around key giving moments like Ramadan, Dhul Hijjah and Giving Tuesday
  • Work with charity partners to tell the stories of the causes our donors support
  •
    Funnel, analytics and conversion
  • Help build and manage the donor funnel, from first touch to waqf created
  • Track campaign performance and turn this into donations
  • Spot where people drop off and test ideas (A/B tests, copy, landing pages, email flows) to improve conversion
  •
    Community and partnerships
  • Build relationships with mosques, Islamic societies, community groups and charities
  • Drive organic engagement across social media, online communities and forums
  • Support the planning and running of online events and webinars
  • Work with ambassadors and creators on campaign execution

Job Specification:

    About you:
You’re a doer. You’d rather ship something today and improve it tomorrow than wait for the perfect plan.
This isn’t a role where you manage agencies and wait for sign-off. You’ll design the post, write the email, pull the numbers and pick up the phone yourself.

    You’ll thrive here if you:
  • Are scrappy and resourceful: no budget or no template doesn’t stop you, you figure it out and make it happen
  • Have built something yourself (a business, side project, society, community or content channel) or worked
    somewhere fast-moving like a startup
  • Want to be in a startup environment, where things change quickly and you get real responsibility early

  • What we’re looking for:
  • Some marketing experience, whether from an internship, a placement, a society, freelance work or your own projects.
  • Confident designing marketing assets and creating content, with a portfolio or examples to show.
  • Comfortable with numbers: you can track performance, read analytics and use data to improve results.
  • An understanding of marketing funnels and how to turn attention into action.
  • Excellent written English and strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to reach out to community leaders and partners.
  • Proactive, highly organised and dependable, able to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • A real interest in charitable giving, Islamic finance or fintech.
  • Comfortable in front of the camera, presenting and featuring in video content for social media.

  • What you’ll get:
  • Real responsibility from day one on a new product launch
  • Mentorship from the Wahed team
  • Work with lasting impact.
