General Summary:

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Distributor Region, the Marketing Associate Director, Distributor Region will play a key role in shaping, supporting and governing our Distributor partners' marketing initiatives to optimise business impact.

The Marketing Associate Director is accountable for understanding market dynamics, defining and developing key business activities and tactics to support the strategic goals of the portfolio, and measuring the success of those activities/tactics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Marketing Director and the cross-functional team to help shape the Distributor region brand strategy
  • Directs the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for assigned product and/or geography, leveraging Global & International initiatives, content and best practices to amplify Partner plans & activities
  • Collaborates with Vertex external materials communications review committee to approve Vertex and/or Partner materials for external use with customers
  • Acts as key point of contact for Distributor partner marketing teams, supporting their onboarding, Vertex system access & navigation
  • Develops strong partnerships with wider Distributor cross-functional team to support business goals
  • Ensures appropriate metrics are in place to measure impact of tactics
  • Leads and manages agency partners to ensure on budget and timely deliverables

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional, internal and external stakeholders to drive change
  • Ability to oversee generation of insights and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities
  • Strong analytical mindset to lead others to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, make strategic recommendations, and monitor performance
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks to best drive business outcomes
  • Direct experience of marketing material review and approval processes
  • Strong working knowledge of market forecasts and relationship of business drivers to revenue
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including PPT, Excel and Word
  • Experience in pharmaceutical marketing or closely related field(s) (e.g., pharmaceutical sales, ad agency, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or scientific degree
  • Significant, relevant experience within similar marketing position, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
