Purpose 

 

The Marketing Assistant will assist the marketing team in the execution of the digital marketing strategy, including the execution and coordination of the projects on the website including technical and SEO, marketing automation, video, social media, third-party advertising, events and the support of timely campaign launches.

The marketing assistant coordinates the execution of digital marketing projects from inception through to completion of the project. He/She creates the work breakdown, assigns tasks to the various resources involved, and directs and monitors the flow of information and material between the various participants. Responsibilities include tracking and disseminating information, creating schedules for the timely delivery of resources and materials, identifying potential issues that may disrupt work schedules, and reporting on progress to upper management. To ensure success as a marketing assistant, some knowledge of project management techniques, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks whilst being ready to work in a fast-paced environment and work to strict deadlines, should all be considered to be most helpful.

 

Responsibilities 

 

·            Coordination of the projects on the website including technical and SEO, marketing

automation, video, social media, third-party advertising, events and the support of timely campaign launches.

·            For large projects and campaigns, collaborating with the Head of Marketing to prepare

project plans, incl. work breakdown, resource allocation, and timelines.

·            Act as traffic coordinator, supervising the intake and delivery process for routine requests

such as minor website content updates, emails, etc.

·            Ensure the up-to-date marketing materials including imagery, videos, case studies, white

papers, news and other relevant materials, are available on the website.

·            Developing work schedules to ensure that requests are handled within agreed timelines,

liaising with delivery agencies to monitor progress and check quality.

·            Maintaining all projects and requesting information, to keep it up to date in the project

management software.

·            Presenting an understanding of the corporate brand model, brand guidelines, vision and

culture.

·            Regularly report progress against the KPIs and goals.

·            Liaise with the brand agency, external web developers, CMS Account manager and the CMS

support team in order to deliver projects on time.

·            Assisting with the preparation of mailshots, email campaigns etc.

·            Assisting with the design of marketing material and technical papers.

·            Responsible for event and exhibition management, booking and coordination.

·            Development and implementation of social media strategy.

·            Webinar scheduling.

·            Responsibility for ordering Marketing collateral for print.

 


Requirements

Qualification and Experience 

 

Qualification 

·            Business, Marketing.

 

Experience 

·              At least 2 years of marketing experience.

·              Experience coordinating the execution of digital marketing projects using project

management software.

·              Basic understanding of SEO.

·              Experience with maintaining CMS.

·              Working with Marketing & Design teams and adhering to a defined brand and content

standards and guidelines.

·              Documenting.

Skills, Knowledge, and Special Qualities 

 

·            At least 2 years of marketing experience.

·            Excellent writing skills.

·            Practical experience using Microsoft Office packages.

·            Some knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).

·            IT literate with the ability to quickly master software.

·            Experience in using social media channels.

·            Previous email marketing experience, ideally with Mailchimp.

·            Familiarity with Webex or Click Meeting.
