The roleWe’re looking for a Marketing and events executive to join our Content and comms team. This is a new role, reporting to our PR, events and delivery lead, created to support the continued growth and impact of Seccl’s brand. You’ll play a key part in planning and delivering campaigns and events that bring our story to life. Working closely with colleagues across the team and the wider business, as well as external suppliers, you’ll ensure projects are exceptionally well organised, delivered on time and executed to a consistently high standard.
The Content and comms team sits at the heart of how Seccl shows up in the market. We’re responsible for shaping our brand, driving awareness and engagement through content, campaigns and events. As we continue to grow, the team is focused on delivering creative and engaging activity that supports our commercial objectives and strengthens our position in the industry. This role will be central to making that happen – bringing structure, energy and precision to everything we deliver.
On a typical day you will be…Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns aligned to business objectives and target audiences
Coordinating with content, comms, design and external partners to keep campaigns on track and delivered on time
Creating and managing campaign and event assets such as invitations, merchandise and digital materials in line with Seccl’s brand
Planning and scheduling social media activity (primarily LinkedIn), supporting paid activity and optimising content using performance insights
Managing day-to-day marketing admin including content planning, asset management, updates to our website, campaign tracking and reporting
Supporting the planning and delivery of internal and external events, including client events, conferences, webinars, company offsites and our attendance at industry events
Coordinating event logistics including venues, catering, AV and supplier management to ensure smooth delivery
Maintaining event admin and documentation including budgets, attendee lists, invitations and post-event reporting
You have experience in marketing and events coordination
You are highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
You are a confident communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and external suppliers
You bring creativity and attention to detail to campaigns, events and supporting materials
You have hands-on LinkedIn experience, creating and posting content for a brand or organisation
You are comfortable analysing campaign performance data and using insights to optimise activity
You have used a CRM system to support marketing and event activity (HubSpot experience is desirable)
You are familiar with digital tools such as a content management system and webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom is desirable)
You rely on a lot of top-down direction. Here, you’ll have a lot of freedom and ownership of your role, and you’ll be expected to shape your own progression
You’re not comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Our speed and scalability are what set us apart; you need to be able to act quickly and think on your feet
You struggle to follow through on ideas. We value people who do what they say they will. If you care about something, you have the freedom here to make it happen
You don’t like change. You’ll get on great here if you relish the ambiguity of rapid growth and are willing to embrace uncertainty

Interview process
Interviewing is a two-way thing, and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you. Our interviews are conversational, so come with questions and be curious. In general, you can expect the interview process to look a bit like this, (following an initial chat with one of our Talent team):
First stage – 45 mins competencies-based interview with the hiring manager
Second stage – 90 mins technical interview or assessment followed by culture-based questions
⏳ We’ll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out and you should expect to hear back from us within one to two weeks of applying.
🌈 Our aim is to build a diverse and inclusive company of awesome people, with unique skills, passions and experiences. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, or veteran, neurodiversity or disability status.
