As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Cash Management Technology team, you will promote the team's success by fostering a collaborative environment, influencing stakeholders, and communicating effectively across all levels.
Job Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development:
  
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of software engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and career development opportunities for team members.
• Technical Strategy & Architecture:
  
  • Set and execute the technical vision for Cash Management systems.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, resilient Java / Spring Boot applications.
  • Ensure best practices in software engineering, architecture, and DevOps.
• Strategic Influence & Communication:
  
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and business impacts clearly and persuasively.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
• Operational Excellence:
  
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of systems processing millions of transactions daily.
  • Drive the extraction and delivery of business intelligence from real-time data streams.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively addressing issues.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams, ideally in financial services or high-volume transaction environments.
• Strong technical background in Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience architecting and building scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction and influence others.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data streaming, business intelligence, and real-time analytics is highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with predictive algorithms and data science concepts.
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive change.
