We are seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and resilient software solutions that power Mastercard's commercial payments ecosystem. As Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead a team of software engineers responsible for the design, development, delivery, and operation of business-critical applications and services. You will drive engineering excellence, build high-performing teams, and partner across Product, Architecture, Security, Reliability Engineering, and Operations to deliver customer-focused outcomes.

Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, talent development, performance management, and team building.
Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems and customer-facing applications.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, testing strategies, and modern engineering practices.
Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and/or SAFe.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, and automation practices.
Experience driving operational excellence, platform reliability, resiliency, and production support.
Payments, fintech, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS is an advantage.
