  • Coordinate and support all elements of commercial, financial and operational due diligence, working closely with internal functions and external advisors.

  • Build and deliver complex financial models, scenario analyses and sensitivity work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Support transaction execution, including deal structuring, documentation review and negotiation support.

Governance, Materials & Stakeholder Support

  • Lead the preparation of high‑quality briefing materials, investment papers and presentations for Liberty Global’s Board, CEO and internal investment committees.

  • Ensure analysis and recommendations are clear, concise and aligned to Liberty Global’s strategic and governance standards.

  • Support senior team members in managing internal decision‑making processes and approvals.

Market Intelligence & Origination Support

  • Engage with advisers, industry participants and market contacts to gather market intelligence, competitor insight and sector trends.

  • Research priority sub‑sectors (with emphasis on sports, live events and adjacent verticals) to identify emerging themes and investment opportunities.

  • Begin to develop a relevant industry network to support future opportunity sourcing and proprietary deal flow.

Portfolio Management & Value Creation

  • Support the ongoing management of Liberty Global’s content investment portfolio, including performance tracking, strategic reviews and evaluation of alternatives.

  • Assist in assessing follow‑on investments, exits, partnerships and capital structure decisions.

  • Work with portfolio company management teams on strategic initiatives, where appropriate, supporting value creation and growth.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Help coordinate internal resources across Finance, Strategy, Legal, Tax and other functions for each transaction or portfolio initiative.

  • Liaise with external advisors including investment banks, legal counsel, accountants and consultants, ensuring deliverables are high quality and on time.

  • Manage multiple workstreams concurrently, balancing priorities across live transactions, portfolio activity and strategic projects.

General

  • Act as a champion for new business ideas and external opportunities that enhance Liberty Global’s exposure to high‑growth content businesses.

  • Undertake other duties as reasonably requested in support of the Growth and Content agenda.

We tend to look for people with:

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development or private equity.

  • Background in M&A, accounting, strategy or media‑focused corporate roles.

  • Robust analytical capability with sound commercial judgement.

  • Strong work ethic and self‑starter mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Proven ability to prioritise competing projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable working across multiple geographies, cultures and stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Direct experience in the media, content, sports or live events sectors.
