Manager, Project Management (Security Technology)

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Global Safety and Security team are the guardians of our marketplace, dedicated to protecting our people, assets, and reputation. From navigating complex global risks to implementing advanced security technologies and intelligence-led responses, we ensure a safe environment where our teams, partners, and customers can thrive with confidence.

We’re looking for a Manager, Security Technology to join our Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) team. This is a hybrid role. In this role, you’ll lead the physical security technology program across EMEA, owning the strategy, budget, and delivery of infrastructure that protects our people and assets at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining the Asset Protection and Safety team. We design, deploy, and maintain the security frameworks that safeguard our corporate and operational footprint. As a leader in this space, you will manage a team of project managers and technical specialists while collaborating with senior regional leadership to ensure resilient, compliant security systems.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of project managers and technical specialists across EMEA, providing coaching, performance management, and career development.

  • Own the EMEA physical security technology roadmap, setting multi-year strategic priorities aligned to business growth, risk posture, and budget.

  • Drive portfolio-level delivery across all concurrent programs (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection), ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant execution.

  • Serve as the senior stakeholder interface, translating technical security needs into clear business cases for regional general managers, legal, data privacy, and finance partners.

  • Manage vendor strategy and partnerships, overseeing contract negotiation, partner selection, SLA governance, and performance management for key technology providers.

  • Ensure regional regulatory compliance across EMEA markets, maintaining adherence to BS EN 50133, ISO 27001, GDPR, and local security installation regulations.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential

  • Significant experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading, developing, and retaining project managers or technical teams across diverse geographies.

  • Strong understanding of physical security technology portfolios, with demonstrated experience owning regional or multi-country delivery outcomes and strategic direction.

  • Deep technical expertise across physical security systems (such as Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Door Hardware), with the ability to guide technical decisions and hold vendors accountable.

  • Proven capability in budget ownership and program management, including managing multi-million-pound program budgets, capital planning, and utilizing portfolio-level tooling (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana).

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex technical and financial trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Active PMP, PRINCE2, or APM certification.

  • Professional certifications in platforms such as Genetec, Axis, Software House, or OpenPath.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
