Manager, Private Equity Accounting & Administration (Hybrid role)

The position
CSC is a leading provider of fund administration and outsourced services. In this hybrid Manager role, you will lead a Private Equity client team delivering both fund accounting and fund administration / governance services, ensuring accurate reporting, responsive client service, and strong control of deadlines and risk. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders (clients, auditors, custodians, investment advisors) and help drive continuous improvement across workflows, quality, and team development. This is a permanent role based in Jersey.
Your responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day delivery for a portfolio of Private Equity funds, overseeing both fund accounting and fund administration outputs in line with SLAs and internal controls
- Prepare and/or review periodic and annual financial reporting (e.g., monthly/quarterly/semi-annual management accounts and annual accounts under UK GAAP / IFRS / US GAAP), including audit coordination and timely resolution of queries
- Oversee NAV production (where applicable), including review of key reconciliations, portfolio transaction processing, cash movements, and accruals to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage client governance requirements: attend Board/Committee meetings as required, prepare and circulate agendas and minutes, and track actions to completion with clear documentation
- Maintain high-quality client records and statutory/transactional documentation, ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and timely updates of correspondence and decisions
- Proactively manage client communication and relationships; escalate risks early, contribute to business development, and support client retention through excellent service
- Monitor operational controls and compliance expectations (including AML/KYC awareness), ensuring issues are identified, documented, and escalated appropriately
- Lead and develop team performance through coaching, 1:1s, appraisals, workload planning, and continuous feedback; promote an inclusive and supportive team environment
- Support financial management of the client portfolio, including time recording, fee/cost awareness, invoicing inputs, and oversight of aged debt/debt protocols in partnership with senior stakeholders
- Drive process improvement by proposing and implementing efficiency ideas across accounting, reporting, and administration workflows
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA, ICSA/CGI, STEP) or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Significant experience within fund administration and fund accounting, ideally with Private Equity structures
- Working knowledge of fund financial reporting and year-end audit processes; understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP concepts relevant to funds
- Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to plan workload, develop others, and maintain service quality under deadlines
- Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to manage client and stakeholder expectations
- High attention to detail and sound judgement with a control-minded approach to risk, documentation, and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing or overseeing NAVs, including review of reconciliations, cash movements, and portfolio transaction processing
- Experience with Board/Committee governance support, including minute taking and action tracking in regulated environments
- Knowledge of Jersey regulatory environment and corporate governance expectations (e.g., interaction with JFSC as needed)
- Familiarity with fee quotes, budgeting, and cost-to-serve analysis in a client service environment
- Experience improving operational processes through standardization, automation, or workflow redesign
