Role Summary and Impact

This role sits within Mindshare’s Unite global media team, dedicated to servicing Unilever, one of the world’s largest advertisers. Based in London and integrated within Mindshare Global HQ.

The London Unite team (60+ people) operates across specialist Centres of Excellence, supporting best practice media planning, investment, digital operations, data management and reporting for Unilever in 80+ countries.

The Media Investment Manager sits within the Media Excellence team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Unilever’s global media budget setting programme. This includes supporting brand and campaign budget planning, assisting the Media Investment Director with wider investment responsibilities, and delivering training and tool access to local teams across multiple agency partners.

This is a full-time role based in Mindshare’s central London office, fully dedicated to the global Unilever account.

Responsibilities

  • Roll out the annual budget setting process, including:
    • Support, with the ambition to run trainings for all agencies, Unilever media clients and other functions
    • Manage the delivery on time and accurately of cost databases
  • Budget setting data management throughout the year: maintain, analyse and interpret data in order to provide valuable insights to budget setting process
  • Ongoing point of contact for local teams
  • Understand and translate client adhoc requirements to create and deliver informative, well-organised presentations and reports
  • Ensure consistency with other reporting tools and requirements (media plan and budget setting monthly data delivery to client platforms)
  • Owning new user requests and managing local market access issues with Tech Support Team
  • Working closely with Data Quality Team to support monthly data checks

The ideal candidate has strong data management, reporting and analytical skills, alongside basic media knowledge and solid project management experience. They are confident presenting to large groups and capable of managing and resolving user queries.

They bring a positive, adaptable mindset, work well under pressure, and demonstrate excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail. Strong numeracy skills and a genuine interest in working with data are essential.

A passion for accuracy and process implementation is key, as is the confidence to support 80+ local teams and regularly share updates with the wider Centre of Excellence team.

Essential Criteria

  • Dynamic self-motivated team-player who approaches challenges in a proactive and flexible manner
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to build Pivot tables, SumIfs, Named Ranges, Lookups, Filters) is a must
  • Power point skills and confident delivering training materials
  • Extreme attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills are needed for this role
  • Basic media and marketing knowledge at either global or local level
  • Proven data coordination, management, manipulation and visualisation skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Project management skills
  • Experience gathering data and managing large scale data outputs in excel
