Mastercard has an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join the Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) team in Germany as Manager, Marketing.
This role is responsible for planning, executing, and measuring integrated marketing and sponsorship initiatives aligned with global and regional priorities. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the role manages defined marketing platforms, campaigns, and partnerships, while collaborating closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
The position plays an important role in translating strategy into execution, ensuring strong market activation, consistent brand representation, and measurable business impact across B2C, B2B2C, and B2B contexts.
THE ROLE• Own the development of communication briefs, objectives, and performance evaluation for assigned marketing initiatives, informed by market insights, data, and best practices• Manage the end-to-end execution of integrated marketing activities across digital and selected non-digital channels, in close collaboration with internal teams and agency partners• Lead local activations of selected global and regional sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring strong market relevance and value contribution to commercial objectives• Act as a key brand steward for assigned initiatives, ensuring consistency with Mastercard's global brand guidelines and standards• Define, track, and report on KPIs for owned activities, contributing to performance optimization and transparent reporting• Contribute actively to innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging new tools, data, and technologies (including AI-enabled solutions where applicable)• Oversee and coordinate Mastercard's owned social media activities for assigned topics or platforms in collaboration with Communications and agencies• Manage marketing budgets for assigned initiatives, including planning, tracking, forecasting, and compliance with internal processes• Work closely with colleagues across IMC (Marketing, Communications, B2B Marketing), as well as Product, Sales, and external agency partners (creative, media, digital, events, sponsorship) to deliver integrated outcomes• Contribute to annual planning, prioritization, and coordination processes in close alignment with senior marketing leadership and regional counterparts
ALL ABOUT YOU• Several years of hands-on experience in marketing, communications, or partnerships, ideally within an international, matrixed organization• Proven ability to independently manage marketing initiatives end-to-end and coordinate multiple stakeholders• Strong understanding of integrated marketing and digital channels, with the ability to translate strategy into effective execution• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style, comfortable managing complexity and multiple parallel initiatives• Experience working with and steering agency partners to deliver quality output and meet objectives• Solid analytical skills, with experience in performance tracking, reporting, and budget management• Confident communicator with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners• Experience with sponsorships, partnerships, or platform-based marketing is an advantage• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English; German language skills strongly preferred
