Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace. We share the collective intelligence and risk sharing expertise of the market’s brightest minds, working together for a braver world.

Our role is to inspire courage, so tomorrow’s progress isn’t limited by today’s risks.

Our shared values: we are brave; we are stronger together; we do the right thing; guide what we do and how we act. If you share our values and our passion to build a future that’s more sustainable, resilient and inclusive, you’ll find a home at Lloyd’s – build a braver future with us.

We’re looking for a Market Oversight Strategy Manager to help shape how we oversee the continual evolution of operational risk across the market.

The opportunity

This is your chance to shape how Lloyd’s oversees operational risk across the market.

As a Manager in Market Oversight Strategy, you’ll help drive the future of our Principles Based Oversight (PBO) framework. You’ll bring a forward-looking view of risk, influence how we adapt to change, and ensure our oversight stays effective, efficient and aligned to strategy.

You won’t just analyse risk. You’ll shape how we respond to it.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work at the centre of our oversight strategy, connecting insight, people and action.

  • Build a forward-looking view of operational risk across the market
  • Guide how oversight evolves in response to emerging risks, regulation and market change
  • Partner with teams across Claims, Customer Outcomes, Operational Resilience, Governance, Financial Crime and Culture
  • Champion a joined-up, risk-based approach to oversight across Lloyd’s
  • Provide clear views on the effectiveness of oversight principles, with recommendations to improve
  • Lead thinking on key thematic risks, taking a proactive and strategic approach
  • Influence senior stakeholders and build strong relationships across the market
  • Represent Market Oversight Strategy in major strategic initiatives
  • Engage confidently with external stakeholders, including regulators

You’ll help connect the dots across the market—and shape what comes next.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who is curious, credible and ready to challenge thinking.

  • Strong experience working across first or second line managing operational or conduct related risks within general insurance
  • A solid understanding of risk management frameworks or strategy
  • The ability to translate complex risk into clear, practical insight
  • Strong influencing skills—you can bring people with you
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes
  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on shared success

Above all, you’re someone who wants to make a difference—and isn’t afraid to speak up.

How you’ll lead

You’ll help create a culture where people feel confident, supported and heard.

  • Be open. Encourage new ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Stay focused. Prioritise what matters and deliver with impact
  • Act with integrity. Build trust through clear, transparent decisions
  • Empower others. Share your knowledge and create space for others to succeed
