Job Description
The International Data Strategy Manager will support international markets, primarily EMEA, in executing Global Data Strategy initiatives. Working with the Head Office team to develop central data workstreams, helping territories to implement them, and identifying opportunities at the market level.
Reporting to the Director, Data Strategy, this position will collaborate with International Media and GroupM Data Strategy teams to ensure alignment in data processes across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the ongoing development of Universal's international data capabilities, with a focus on EMEA markets. Primary responsibilities include:
    • Marketing data management functions such as adopting naming conventions, platform data onboarding, and supporting data operations alignment.
    • Work closely with local marketing teams, agencies, and territories to support global data initiatives.
    • Support audience data development, including exhibitor data partnerships, first-party data collection across campaigns and GA4 strategy implementation.
    • Provide support in the rollout of reporting tools and ad tech platforms, identifying key areas for media and marketing team assistance and following the ad tech development roadmap.
    • Assist in cross-functional collaboration to drive global data strategy priorities.
    • Help support data privacy strategy development, with a focus on GDPR and data governance, including Kids compliance across teams.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Global Data Strategy team, including working with geographic measurement tools and Google natural search data feed.


Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Extensive experience in digital or data strategy (Ents/Media preferred)
    • Experience developing and implementing audience segmentation strategies to enhance marketing efforts and campaign user journey
    • Knowledge of digital media platforms and data strategy, with strong understanding of key players in the media data ecosystem.
    • Experience supporting marketing effectiveness studies, including campaign and creative performance analysis, match market testing, etc.
    • Strong analytical skills to derive actionable insights from various data sets, with a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign outcomes.
    • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, COPPA) and experience in developing and enforcing data privacy and data governance best practices.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across central and local marketing teams, agencies, and data strategy functions.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience creating and refining best practices for data management, campaign measurement, and audience engagement.
    • Knowledge of data-driven planning, attribution, and optimization strategies across multiple channels.
    • Familiarity with 1st and 3rd party data integration and funnel tracking methodologies
    • Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar tools to present insights and support decision-making.
