In your work you will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) business unit that is a part of Hitachi Energy’s division and is located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This Hitachi Energy’s developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. 

“Climate design is closely linked to the design of the main circuit equipment and part of finding the optimal system solution for the HVDC station. Higher power levels today in combination with extreme environmental conditions are part of the challenge to find overall best solution. As manager for this department, you will be part of the transformation journey we are in and play an important role in the transformation.”

How you’ll make an impact  

  • Provide guidance and support for a global team of climate engineers. 
  • Develop, implement and follow up strategy for the area. 
  • Develop the people in the team to meet tomorrow’s expectations. 
  • Shape and adjust ways of working according to changing business models adapting to future setups. 
  • Stakeholder management. 

Your background

  • To successfully take on this position, you probably have experience from supporting and growing team members in an environment with continuously upcoming opportunities and challenges.   
  • You have a solid interest in people development as well as technical aspects. 
  • Understanding of how climatic aspects influence electrical equipment is beneficial. 
  • Attentive, humble, and adaptable to different team dynamics.
