Job Description:

The Opportunity

We help our customers increase profitability and contribute to a more sustainable future. By improving and ensuring the operation of our customers’ existing systems and by replacing all or parts of the control and HVDC equipment, we make this happen.

At HVDC Service, we are now looking for someone who can take overall technical responsibility for our deliveries – from the initial offer and project execution all the way to customer handover. You will face an exciting challenge in the area of advanced control equipment combined with main circuit aspects in a growing market.

How You Will Make a Difference

• In the role of Lead Engineer, you will work with complete project cycles, including commissioning. A typical timeline spans about 2 years.

• It is important that you are able to travel to customer meetings and participate in commissioning activities for the projects you are involved in. Our customers are located all over the world.

• In this role, you can look forward to building significant customer networks and excellent development opportunities.

• We live by Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while being attentive to your colleagues and the business.

Your Background

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a similar engineering discipline.

• Previous experience working with control and protection within power distribution, automation, signal technology, or similar.

• Experience in commissioning and testing of control equipment is an advantage, preferably combined with leadership experience.

• Experience in sales within the service or preventive maintenance sector or experience in main circuit design is a plus.

• You are an experienced problem solver who thrives in a customer-oriented role with both internal and external stakeholders. You are organized and have experience working with overall planning.

• With a curious technical interest and leadership skills, you enjoy supporting and managing both experienced and junior engineers in your role.

• Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

What We Offer

• Collective agreement

• Flexible working hours

• Healthcare and wellness allowance

• Fantastic career opportunities within Hitachi Energy, both in Sweden and globally

• A mentor to support you during the onboarding phase

• Various training and courses to support employee development

• A diverse company with over 70+ nationalities working in Sweden

• Additional parental leave compensation

• Employee portal with thousands of discounts and benefits

• Additional benefits may be linked to this specific role
