Role Summary and Impact

T&P:

T&P, part of WPP, is one the world's leading full service creative and media agencies, connecting talent and tech to drive growth for brands. Formed by the integration of The&Partnership and mSix&Partners, it brings together content and distribution into a single, holistic end to end marketing solution. Backed by WPP and WPP Media and combined with the agility of an entrepreneurial Partner-led mindset, the multi-discipline agency spans four continents with 45 offices and over $1.2 billion dollar in billings globally. As an early adopter with the first ever AI-generated TV ad for Lexus in 2018, T&P is focused on harnessing AI across all its outputs with its 1,900 people already trained on WPP's proprietary AI platform Creative Studio, to deliver enhanced outcomes for clients.

We are looking for an experienced AV Account Manager to lead the day-to-day AV planning and buying across a key T&P client, Toyota/Lexus, managing £20m+ AV investment annually. Toyota/Lexus have strong ambitions for growth across both brands, and as such this role will provide a fantastic opportunity to shape an innovative and effective AV strategy for two of the world’s most established automotive brands and a great client marketing team.

We want an enthusiastic and passionate individual who will work closely with our internal specialist teams and wider client stakeholders to deliver smart, innovative, and effective AV solutions, focussed on the UK market. The role requires an experienced AV practitioner with advanced knowledge of TV, BVOD/VOD, Online Video, Cinema and Audio planning and buying, in addition to exceptional communication and organisational skills.

Our UK remit is focused on AV planning and buying, however you will need a thorough understanding of wider brand and performance media, and how AV fits within the broader communications ecosystem. You will need to build strong relationships with your day-to-day clients, external agency partners, internal specialist teams, and those working within your own team.

This role is largely focussed on Toyota/Lexus UK, however it will include work across News UK, Govia Thameslink and a smaller focus on other agency initiatives and the chance to work on new business pitches where required.

Toyota is one of the world’s leading automotive brands, with a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation. Lexus is Toyota’s premium automotive brand, combining elevated design, technology and craftsmanship with a progressive approach to luxury mobility. Together, Toyota and Lexus operate at scale across Europe and the UK, with ambitious plans for continued growth and transformation.

Toyota and Lexus are at the forefront of electrification, with a broad range of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles designed to meet a wide range of consumer needs. Their multi-pathway approach to mobility, combined with a strong heritage in innovation, means they continue to play a leading role in the future of the automotive category.

We work with Toyota/Lexus across multiple markets with local teams on the ground in each country, with the UK representing a key market within the broader EMEA business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading AV planning and buying across easyJet and supporting AV output across Toyota, Lexus, Govia Thameslink and News UK (predominantly focusing on The Times).

  • Building strong senior client relationships, while maintaining a close connection with day-to-day client contacts.
  • Supporting and developing direct reports through clear roles, stretching goals and engaging career paths.
  • Managing the AV planning and buying team for your brands with an inclusive leadership style and clear direction.
  • Working closely with relevant accountability and investment stakeholders to ensure the highest quality delivery in the most commercially beneficial way.
  • Maintaining close oversight of buying output, with expert judgement on plans and the wider AV marketplace.
  • Ensuring contractual commitments, campaign delivery standards and client guarantees are met.
  • Driving innovation across AV output, including future-facing activation opportunities in addressable TV, video and audio.
  • Proactively forging strong relationships with media owners to unlock opportunities for clients.
  • Contributing to new business pitches and supporting the transition of new clients where required.
