About the Role

Addressable creative and Dynamic Creative Optimisation (DCO) are rapidly growing areas within the industry and represent a core pillar of WPP Media’s offering. Sitting at the intersection of media execution, ad technology, and creative operations, the Addressable AdOps Manager will play a critical technical and operational role in bringing data-driven, audience-first campaigns to life.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for activating, building, trafficking, and quality-assuring (QAing) DCO and addressable campaigns across Display and Social environments. Working closely with strategy, planning, creative, and analytics teams, you will ensure flawless operational setup, feed management, and day-to-day campaign execution.

Role Summary and Impact

The Addressable AdOps Manager will lead the technical build, QA, and operational delivery of addressable and DCO-led campaigns across a range of client accounts.

You will act as the technical backbone of the Addressable team, turning complex creative strategy matrixes and dynamic data sources into functional, high-performing campaign setups. Leveraging strong analytical and Excel capabilities, you will manage dynamic feeds, variation logic, and ad-server integrations while maintaining rigorous QA standards.

This role requires a blend of technical capability, meticulous attention to detail, and operational discipline to support smooth day-to-day campaign operations, troubleshooting, and optimisation.

Key ResponsibilitiesDCO Build, Setup & Activation
  • Technical Campaign Build: Set up, traffic, and activate dynamic creative feeds, decision trees, and DCO structures across key ad servers and social platforms.
  • Display & Social Execution: Build and manage dynamic creative builds across Display (e.g., Google Studio, Flashtalking, Innovid/Sizmek) and paid Social environments (e.g., Meta, TikTok).
  • Data & Feed Management: Manipulate, structure, and audit complex messaging matrixes and dynamic data sheets (Excel/Google Sheets) to drive dynamic creative variation logic and rule sets.
  • Platform Integration: Integrate ad server tags, pixels, and tracking parameters with DSPs and social ad managers to ensure accurate routing and measurement.
Quality Assurance (QA) & Operational Excellence
  • End-to-End QA: Own the QA process across all dynamic builds, testing creative formats, dynamic text replacement, preview links, dynamic tags, and audience-targeting triggers prior to launch.
  • Tagging & Tracking: Validate tracking implementation, URL parameter structures, and tag management setups (e.g., GTM) to ensure accurate reporting data.
  • Process Optimisation: Enforce and continuously refine AdOps QA checklists, trafficking workflows, and naming conventions to minimize deployment errors and ensure operational rigour.
Day-to-Day Campaign Operations & Support
  • Live Monitoring & Support: Oversee day-to-day campaign delivery, proactively monitoring dynamic feeds, ad serving functionality, and impression delivery to ensure smooth operation.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical point of contact for resolving creative rendering issues, feed errors, tag discrepancies, or platform delivery bottlenecks.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with media planning, client leads, creative agencies, and platform vendor tech teams to ensure campaign assets, tags, and specs are received and approved on time.
  • Trafficking & Reporting Support: Support analytics teams with operational data audits and feed updates required for mid-campaign optimizations and post-campaign analysis.

Skills and ExperienceEssential
  • AdOps & DCO Experience: Proven experience in digital ad operations, campaign trafficking, and dynamic creative activation across digital Display and Social.
  • DCO Platform Knowledge: Practical hands-on experience using ad servers and DCO platforms (e.g., Google Studio, Flashtalking, Jivox, Innovid/Sizmek, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, data manipulation, formula logic, conditional formatting) for handling complex dynamic creative matrixes and data feeds.
  • Social Activation: Hands-on experience setting up dynamic creative assets, feeds, or catalog-based ads within major Social Ads Managers (e.g., Meta Ads Manager).
  • Technical QA & Troubleshooting: Demonstrated experience with web debugging tools (e.g., Charles, Chrome DevTools) and QA methodologies for display and social ad tags.
  • Operational Discipline: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a methodical approach to managing technical workflows and strict launch deadlines.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of programmatic buying platforms (DSPs such as DV360, The Trade Desk) and Tag Management Systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS) as they relate to digital display ads and dynamic templates.
  • Experience handling automated feeds (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON, Google Sheets integrations).
  • Familiarity with dynamic testing frameworks (A/B testing, multivariate creative testing).

Personal Attributes
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous, rigorous, and proud of delivering error-free, high-quality technical work.
  • Problem Solver: Calm under pressure, curious about how tech works, and proactive in diagnosing and solving technical errors.
  • Operational & Organized: Highly structured approach to managing tasks, timelines, and competing operational priorities.
  • Collaborative Communicator: Able to explain complex technical AdOps or DCO requirements clearly to non-technical client and agency stakeholders.
