Location: CHANEL New Bond Street Boutique

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until end of November 2026

Your role @CHANEL:

As a Make up Artist, you will play a key role in driving the performance of the CHANEL Make up  business within our New Bond Street Boutique. Working closely with the Fragrance & Beauty Department Manager, you will deliver expert make up consultations, inspire clients through elevated brand experiences, and take ownership of growing the make up category, while confidently promoting fragrance and skincare. You will contribute to the boutique’s success by supporting sales, operational excellence and asset protection, working collaboratively to achieve individual and team targets and deliver an exceptional client experience.

Business and Client Development

  • Support the management team in driving the commercial performance of the boutique through strong understanding of the business, local market, and key stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of developing and growing the Make up category, driving sales performance through expert consultations, product storytelling and client engagement.
  • Champion a customer‑centric and service‑led mindset, placing the client at the heart of all activities.
  • Partner closely with the in‑house CRM team to identify opportunities, share best practice and support the training and development of the wider team, with a particular focus on Make up clienteling.
  • Maximise the potential of all product categories by leveraging visual merchandising, training, clienteling, events and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Build and nurture a loyal make up‑focused clientele using all available clienteling tools to drive engagement and long‑term retention.
  • Act as a voice of the boutique by monitoring competitor activity and market trends, proposing insights, actions and recommendations.
  • Proactively host and support client events, including make up‑led masterclasses, to strengthen brand loyalty and enhance the client experience.

Operations

  • Ensure all policies, operational standards and procedures are clearly communicated, understood and consistently applied within the boutique.
  • Support asset protection and risk management by adhering to loss prevention guidelines and best practices.
  • Control stock loss within agreed budgets and maintain high levels of stock accuracy.
  • Conduct effective stock audits, including weekly self‑managed stock checks, and propose continuous improvement actions alongside the F&B Department Manager.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Proven Make up artistry or category experience within the luxury Fragrance & Beauty sector or a large, fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Experience supporting and delivering VIP and client‑focused events.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence engaging a diverse client base.
  • An outstanding sense of customer service, combining initiative, commercial creativity and sensitivity.
  • Strong knowledge of Beauty products, trends and industry developments.
  • A genuine interest in culture and art, with the ability to translate this into meaningful client experiences.
