What is the opportunity?
Senior Developer required to join our FIC Global Spread Products eTrading technology team.
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of key strategic projects, and will engage with the trading desk in all aspects of the project delivery
You will be instrumental in building the next-generation algorithmic trading infrastructure. This infrastructure supports a wide array of functions including pricing, quoting, and hedging across Request for Quote (RFQ), Portfolio, and ETF trading.
This cutting-edge platform is designed to achieve ambitious goals
- Doubling Capacity and Increasing Revenue: The new Algo infrastructure aims to double the number of securities we can price, with a target to boost revenue by 15%.
- Scalability Across Businesses: Build a scalable infrastructure that will serve as the backbone for all three GSP businesses—Credit, Derivatives, and Municipals (Muni's).
- Cost-Efficiency: Build a common infrastructure to significantly reducing the total cost of technology ownership.

- Developing the Next Gen Algo Platform: Your expertise will contribute to the construction of our state-of-the-art algorithmic platform, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of the market and our business.
- Collaboration: You will work alongside a diverse and global team, contributing to a culture that values collaborative efforts and collective success.
- Innovation and Learning: This role offers the unique opportunity to learn new technologies and apply them to innovate our trading systems.
- Influence and Strategy: Your insights will have a direct impact on the architectural decisions, enabling you to shape the strategic direction of our Algo Infrastructure.
- Project work includes expansion of eTrading by coding new connectivity and RFQ protocols including Portfolios. Project work also includes enhancements to the auto-quoting and algo framework for pricing, offering and quoting.
- Will specifically focus on engagement, framework design and development of deliverables for Credit Cash electronic trading
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- - Extensive hands-on coding in server-side Java with strong emphasis on Java Concurrency, RX Streams, Caching (GridGain as Cache), Collections API, Messaging and Event processing across multiple streams
- Solid coding experience in multi-cast messaging (Solace / RV)
- Solid coding with relational DB (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle)
- Technical design of low latency trading application services
- Strong Dev Ops tools (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Helios)
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or similar
Nice-to-have:
- Some hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or similar
- Capable of managing & leading people and delivery
