In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth coordination of our inbound and outbound logistics operations, supporting transport planning, customer scheduling, and day-to-day administration.

About the Role – Drive Efficient Logistics Operations
Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily transport and logistics operations, including customer and collection order scheduling and driver instructions.

  • Assist with vehicle and 3PL (third-party logistics) planning, ensuring timely and accurate delivery coordination.

  • Provide inbound logistics support, including handling driver documentation, vehicle weighments, and monitoring site traffic flow through the gatehouse.

  • Prepare and issue picking lists, delivery notes, and related transport documentation using internal systems.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance and traceability.

  • Liaise with customers to resolve delivery or collection issues, ensuring excellent service and follow-up through CRM systems.

  • Support the Gatehouse team when needed and ensure processes are followed efficiently.

  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve logistics administration processes.

  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager and Transport Planner, contributing to team objectives and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Skills and Expertise
Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transport planning, or administration within a manufacturing or distribution environment

  • Good IT literacy and experience using MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

  • Flexible and reliable, able to support the team during busy periods or provide cover when needed.

  • Organised, proactive, and resilient team player with strong problem-solving and interpersonal abilities, eager to learn and continuously improve.

  • Work model: On-site, full-time (Ashbourne, UK)
