We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️

📍London / UK Remote | 💰 £68,000 - £88,000 + Incentive Awards tied to your performance + Benefits
What you’ll be working on:

  • You’ll help run and continuously improve the systems we use to quality assure Monzo’s localised product experiences.
  • You’ll work closely with our in-language Editors and Testers, Product and Engineering teams, and other localisation partners to make sure translated experiences can be reviewed effectively in the live product.
  • Rather than being responsible for making linguistic decisions in every language, you’ll help create the structure and support that enables our language specialists to do their best work – removing testing friction, providing context, improving coverage and making sure issues reach the right teams quickly.
  • As Monzo expands into new markets, you’ll help make our QA processes reusable and scalable so we don’t need to start from scratch for every language.

Every day you’ll be:

  • Running and maintaining our localisation QA processes, including coverage tracking, journey inventories, priorities, QA checks, severity levels and reporting.
  • Working closely with in-language Editors and Testers to help them review localised experiences efficiently and consistently.
  • Creating and maintaining reusable test cases, playbooks, test recipes, deeplinks and other resources that make complex product journeys easier to review.
  • Acting as a point of contact when localisation reviewers are blocked, investigating issues and working with the relevant Product or Engineering teams to get testing moving again.
  • Supporting teams developing new features by helping them understand what localisation QA may be needed, where translated content appears and which journeys or edge cases should be reviewed.
  • Triaging localisation bugs and feedback, identifying duplicates and routing issues to the right place – whether that’s our translation tooling, Product or Engineering teams.
  • Making sure localisation tickets contain useful information such as build and device details, reproduction steps, screenshots or videos and string identifiers where possible.
  • Carrying out ongoing in-product spot checks and coordinating re-testing when product changes could introduce localisation regressions.
  • Helping apply straightforward, Editor-approved text fixes in our translation tooling where appropriate, with language specialists retaining final linguistic sign-off.
  • Identifying opportunities to use automation, AI and internal tooling to make localisation QA faster and more efficient.
  • Helping stakeholders understand localisation coverage, blockers and areas of risk ahead of launches and other important milestones.

You should apply if:

  • You have experience in localisation QA, software QA, internationalisation, language operations or a related area.
  • You care deeply about the quality of customer-facing experiences and understand that a translation can be technically correct without feeling right in context.
  • You’re comfortable testing mobile or web products and working through complex user journeys.
  • You’re organised and enjoy turning complicated or manual processes into clear, repeatable ways of working.
  • You can prioritise testing based on customer impact and risk.
  • You’re confident working with Engineers, Product Managers, language specialists and other stakeholders.
  • You’re comfortable investigating problems, reproducing issues and gathering the information needed to help get them resolved.
  • You’re interested in how automation and AI can improve QA workflows, while recognising where human judgement is still important.
  • You’re a keen learner and enjoy documenting and sharing what you learn with others.
  • You’re excited by the challenge of helping localisation QA scale across multiple countries and languages.
