Help shape how a global Treasury team monitors, forecasts, and optimizes liquidity across key international legal entities. You will sit at the center of balance sheet and funding discussions—providing independent analytical challenge while partnering closely with CIB business lines, Corporate Treasury, and risk partners to deliver well-governed outcomes. The role balances independent risk-aware challenge with commercial partnership to help optimize liquidity usage and balance sheet efficiency while meeting regulatory and internal stress requirements. This role suits someone who can turn complex data into clear executive insight, influence decisions with a control-minded approach, and drive reporting, controls, and automation in a fast-moving environment.

Job description

As a Treasury Regional Analytics Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury team, you will be a senior member of the London-based team supporting CIB legal entities in the UK. The team drives analytical review of actual and projected liquidity and collateral positions and supports governance forums through robust reporting, controls, and forward-looking insight. You will gain exposure to a broad suite of CIB products and business events, with regular interaction across the firm. The role includes management responsibility, with accountability for day-to-day oversight, coaching, and quality control of analysts supporting liquidity and balance sheet analytics.

Job responsibilities

1) Liquidity monitoring, governance, and independent challenge

  • Monitor liquidity usage under the firm’s internal stress framework and regulatory measures including LCR and NSFR, ensuring transparency, data integrity, and appropriate escalation of key risks and drivers.
  • Track daily liquidity surplus/deficit positions and upstream drivers impacting aggregate liquidity; identify emerging concentrations, volatility, and structural risks.
  • Support the  liquidity actuals process and governance sign-offs through robust analytical review, documentation, and control discipline.

2) Commercial partnering and optimization (within risk and policy guardrails)

  • Conduct analytical reviews of business-level liquidity usage and volatility; translate results into capacity, cost, and constraint implications for stakeholders.
  • Partner with business lines and Corporate Treasury on current and forward-looking balance sheet, funding, and liquidity requirements—bringing both constructive challenge and solution options.
  • Identify balance sheet and liquidity optimization levers (e.g., composition shifts, tenor/roll dynamics, affiliate vs. third-party flows, pipeline timing) and quantify trade-offs, second-order impacts, and execution considerations.
  • Track compositional shifts in the balance sheet and link them to liquidity outcomes, including shifts in Markets balances and lending/deposit pipeline events.

3) Senior stakeholder engagement

  • Produce and present analytics and narrative for recurring senior-level reviews (e.g., ALCO and weekly updates), focusing on “what changed, why it matters, what actions are available, and what the risks/trade-offs are.”
  • Provide analytical support for ad hoc requests from regulators and senior management, delivering clear, audit-ready materials under tight timelines.
  • Review and quality-assure team outputs to ensure a consistent, senior-ready narrative and strong control standards.

4) Controls, reporting enhancement, and automation

  • Strengthen reporting, controls, and data quality checks to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
  • Drive standardization and automation of recurring analytics (Excel/Alteryx/Tableau), improving speed to insight and scalability.
  • Line-manage and develop junior team members (e.g., Analysts/Associates), including prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and fostering a strong risk-and-control culture.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Solid understanding of capital markets, liquidity risk management, and funding concepts, and ability to apply them to balance sheet decisioning.
  • Knowledge of ALM, funding and liquidity, and regulatory developments in the treasury space (e.g., LCR, NSFR).
  • Working knowledge of Investment Bank products and balance sheet mechanics,
  • Strong Excel skills; ability to leverage Alteryx and Tableau to build scalable analytics and reporting.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills (including PitchPro) with ability to craft crisp executive narratives.
  • Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving; comfortable challenging assumptions and influencing outcomes with a control-minded approach.
  • Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented track record of automation and process standardization.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Professional accounting qualification (preferred).
