We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to work under the guidance of experienced professionals. The apprentice will engage directly with students, providing both individual and group support to facilitate academic learning and help develop their social and emotional skills.
Apprenticeship Summary:
- Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
- Working Week: Monday to Friday – 8.30 am – 3.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Duration: 18 months

What you’ll do at work
- Assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes
- Provide input into the planning and evaluation of learning activities for individuals and groups of students
- Supervise the activities of individuals or groups of students both in and out of the classroom
- Monitor individual students’ progress, achievements and development and report these to the teaching staff / line manager to inform decisions taken regarding the Individual Education Plan, Behaviour Plans and Personal Care
- Liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff to ensure effective communication concerning the students' well-being
- Record student information, as specified by the teaching staff / line manager to ensure the schools information systems are maintained
- Prepare and maintain learning equipment and ensure that the classroom is kept clean and tidy

The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification
Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice’s needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.
