Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and government contracts related to sales and services. You will manage the full contract lifecycle, including handling claims, amendments, terminations, and bid protests. The position also involves addressing compliance inquiries, conducting due diligence on agents and distributors within the assigned market, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with external counsel on litigation matters to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years postgraduate experience; in-house legal department experience a plus.
  • Prior transactional experience, including the ability to draft and review contract terms and conditions.
  • A background in government contracts is desirable; experience with public sector contracting a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, listening and influencing.
  • Good relationship building in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills; big-picture oriented but able to focus on the details also.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to advise on legal matters in the context of business strategy and objectives, and to translate legal advice into practical business solutions.
