Your Mission

We are seeking a highly organised, tech-forward Legal Counsel to join our internal legal function. Working directly alongside our existing Legal Counsel, you will take the lead on our commercial agreements and legal workflows while delivering strategic, solution-oriented legal advice across a broad spectrum of in-house legal matters. You will take ownership of setting up and managing our central contract database, accelerating our contract review workflows using cutting-edge legal AI, and delivering key legal advice across diverse business matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Architecture & Governance: Oversee our central contract repository, establishing robust post-signature lifecycles, obligation tracking, renewal management, and standardised playbook frameworks across the business.

  • Commercial Contract Reviews: Drive end-to-end drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation for complex customer and supplier agreements - including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs) and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)

  • AI Tooling & Workflow Automation: Design review playbooks, prompt structures, and automated workflows using AI tools (including Claude and Google AI platforms) to streamline routine redlining and risk identification.

  • Multidisciplinary In-House Advisory: Provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice across core operational areas, including employment law (policy reviews, contract updates), data protection (GDPR compliance), compliance, and corporate governance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a clear point of contact for sales, finance, and delivery teams, providing guidance on commercial terms and contract governance.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3–6 years PQE gained within a top-tier law firm or a fast-paced in-house tech environment

  • Proven track record of independently negotiating complex commercial tech or professional services agreements

  • Hands-on experience implementing or maintaining standardised contract management frameworks, database structures, and repositories

  • Keen desire to apply legal principles practically in an in-house context

  • Hands-on proficiency with generative AI tools (or a demonstrated, enthusiastic commitment to mastering AI prompt engineering and tech-driven workflows)

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Passion for technology and a strong interest in leveraging generative AI tools to build playbooks, optimise legal processes, and drive operational efficiency
