The legal counsel will liaise closely with the global legal team to ensure a consistent approach is taken – for example when considering risk, processes and new services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of issues, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure they meet the company's legal and business requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide legal support and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and best practices to provide proactive and strategic legal advice.
- Champion legal, regulatory, and organizational standards within the company.
- Drive value through informed and detailed advice to key decision-makers.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Law Degree and admitted to practice law in the Netherlands or UK or other jurisdiction where NCC has an office and willing to be admitted to practice in UK or Netherlands.
- Fluency in English and Dutch is essential; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
- Proven experience in commercial contracts and other relevant areas of law.
- Experience in the technology sector and an interest in cyber security.
- Experience working in an in-house legal environment is advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to apply commercial understanding and strategic input when providing support.
- Awareness and understanding of potential risk factors and the ability to mitigate them effectively.
