Purpose: You will work in a small legal team assisting primarily with a broad range of Corporate Talent (Athletes, Creators and Music) working on commercial, corporate and employment matters.  

Reporting: The position will report directly into the Associate General Counsel and will work closely with the Vice President, Legal based in London.

Duties: 

  • Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial and employment contracts, including agent employment and consultancy agreements, service agreements, introducer agreements, powers of attorney, confidentiality agreements, and joint venture agreements.
  • Providing assistance and support with acquisitions, working within the internal M&A team, drafting documents such as bid letters, letters of intent, term sheets, share and asset purchase agreements, carrying out/reviewing due diligence and instructing external counsel (both in the UK and internationally).
  • Taking ownership of contractual disputes, settlement agreements and debt collection.
  • Monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance (including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions and data protection) and providing in-house training. 
  • Supporting legal business needs of subsidiaries across EMEA and APAC.

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years PQE, with in-house experience (including secondments).
  • Experience in commercial, corporate (including M&A) and employment law.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with the ability to take instruction from and work effectively with legal team members and business divisions.
  • Ability to step out of comfort zone and take ownership of matters when required.
  • Ability to think on your feet in a commercial manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to liaise with the EMEA, APAC and US colleagues.
  • Excellent technical ability, responsiveness and attention to detail.
