Job description

Skills: strategy, assessment & gap analysis

  • Help shape the future of our workforce by identifying the critical skills needed today and anticipating those required for future success.
  • Act as the guardian of a proven methodology to assess current capabilities and predict future skill needs, leveraging insights from an ongoing pilot within the organization.
  • Lead and oversee skill evaluations across the organization, ensuring a structured and effective assessment process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify skill gaps and proactively forecast emerging competencies.
  • Collaborate closely with departments and learning partners in the business groups to align learning and development initiatives with both short-term business needs and long-term goals.
  • Ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency of the skills assessment methodology, keeping it up to date, ensuring it is consistently applied across the organization, and capable of predicting future skill needs.

Development pathway design

  • Design tailored career and development paths based on various personas and skills gaps, ensuring clear, actionable roadmaps that support both individual growth and key strategic HR objectives.
  • Collaborate with learning partners to deliver engaging, impactful content that aligns with organizational priorities.
  • Leverage diverse development tactics to create holistic learning experiences, integrating various development options to support long-term workforce capability building and talent retention.

Change management

  • Support change management and communication efforts to engage stakeholders.
  • Encourage and promote a ‘skills-first mindset,’ fostering awareness of continuous learning and upskilling opportunities.
  • Act as a change champion, supporting the implementation of career and skills frameworks by providing guidance and resources to facilitate adoption.

Industry benchmarking

  • Engage with strategic vendors and partners to ensure learning models are aligned with global best practices.
  • Incorporate the latest trends and benchmarks into your strategies.

 Align to other talent processes

  • Identify and integrate career and skills frameworks into other talent processes such as recruitment, development plan objective setting and capacity planning.

Project management & governance

  • In close collaboration with business teams and learning partners in the groups, drive the development and implementation of skills, career, and learning pathways, including progress tracking, senior stakeholder updates, risk management, and mitigation actions.
  • Develop an overall governance framework including processes and RACI matrices to ensure the skills frameworks are maintained and governed during its life cycle.

Analytics, insights and data ownership

  • Be the data steward of all related data items ensuring data quality, maintenance and appropriate usage across all talent processes.

We are looking for a candidate who can bring the following:

Experience and expertise:

  • 5–8 years of experience in skills and Career Frameworks, Learning and Development, with a proven track record in:
    • Skills taxonomy design and assessments, matrix/ontology management, and career frameworks.
    • Instructional Design and/or content development
    • Designing and implementing learning paths tailored to diverse needs.
    • Managing large-scale projects in a technology-driven & HR environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Change management expertise.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities to assess needs and deliver measurable results.
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to benchmark our L&D approach with external network.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with a commitment to high-quality service (internal consulting approach) .
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral).
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to start by managing virtually.
  • Result-driven, maintaining a high level of service and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player and ability to work with multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge industry trends, best practices, and platforms like Workday and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Proficiency in tools like Learning Management Systems (LMS), MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Education: University degree or equivalent.
