Job Description SummaryIn this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for business development of GA Market, products prequalification, competitor information, and GA market understanding, L2 technical support, customer intimacy with clients in Utilities, O&G, Process and Mining & other industries in Morocco and other countries within NAFT cluster. He will be Responsible for GA Engineering & Field Services in Morocco and supporting NAFT cluster. He will closely coordinate his activities with GE tendering and sales. This position will report to GA NAFT Engineering & Field Services leader.Job Description

What you’ll do:

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

·       Responsible for GA Engineering and Field Services.·       Technical team training, development, skills matrix and technical support.·       Maintains updated record of GA installed base.·       Operation of GA Morocco platform and maintain updated assets Inventory.·       Responsible and accountable for yearly orders OP, creation of opportunities based on installed base, and market information.

·  Promotions & Approvals Key role in product launches, presentations, discussions, spec-in activities, exhibitions/conferences, site trials etc. through Marketing. Implement actions necessary for product approvals based on regional strategy and priorities

· Commercial (Tendering & Negotiation): Support Tendering team - Study customer’s technical & commercial requirements. Support Management during contract negotiation

·  Commercial channels & Market Monitoring: Improve awareness of GA solutions. Obtain competitor data, market share, volume etc. Track evolving customer specifications & requirements.

·  Product Management: Be aware of product obsoletion, new product availability etc. and provide appropriate customer support in line with regional strategy. Keep track of firmware upgrades, changes in product features etc. and participate in necessary local actions. Support customers vis-à-vis product literature needs.

·  Application Support (L2): Provide technical support to clients in the region e.g. technical queries, developing customized solutions, supporting scheme engineering, analyzing field performance etc.

·   Product Problems / Non-quality Issues: Take the lead in investigating and resolving product problems reported when requested by customers (L1). Support local actions required for resolution of major non-quality issues.

What you’ll bring

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning of GE products, applications and / or engineering projects in Grid Automation field, as well as site experience in conventional and digital control systems. 

· Practical experience in GE DCS and CCS engineering (architecture, product selections, site installations, testing and commissioning, as well as system troubleshooting)

· Strong understanding of Morocco customer solutions / products specifications.

· Good knowledge of communication/Automation protocols such as IEC 61850, MODBUS, IEC 101/104 & T103.

· Good knowledge of Cyber security solutions implementation in the field of Grid Automation.

· Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, as required.

· Fluent in English, French and Arabic languages.

· Strong written & verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders

· Professional experience with customers within the North Africa key regional utility and oil & gas customers, EPCs, OEMs and system integrators

· Proactive work style, creativity, high energy, Strong teamworking skills.

· Time Management and ability to professionally distribute his time among three functions (Engineering & FS, Technical Application, Technical Support).



For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between د.م.‏545,880.00 and د.م.‏1,013,780.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
