The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

Role Summary

Being a member of the IT Cybersecurity & Platform Strategy team, the Cloud and Compliance Engineering Operations Specialist will provide day-to-day operational support for DTCC's cloud security and compliance programs across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role is responsible for monitoring security controls, supporting compliance activities, coordinating remediation efforts, managing cloud security tooling, and assisting platform teams in maintaining secure and compliant cloud environments.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate and support cloud security platforms and services across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including CSPM, CNAPP, vulnerability management, compliance monitoring, and identity security solutions.
  • Investigate, analyze, and assist with remediation of cloud security findings, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps in partnership with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security controls, baselines, monitoring capabilities, and security automation solutions.
  • Develop and enhance scripts, workflows, and automation to improve operational efficiency, security coverage, and response times.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and knowledge articles to support cloud security operations.
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities related to cloud security services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Industry-recognized cybersecurity or cloud certification preferred (Security+, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, CISSP, etc.).
  •  

Talents Needed For Success:

  • Experience securing cloud environments in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with CSPM, CNAPP, vulnerability management, and security tooling such as Wiz, Qualys, CrowdStrike, AquaSec, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud identity and access management, security monitoring, and compliance practices.
  • Experience identifying, investigating, and remediating security risks, vulnerabilities, and cloud misconfigurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to learn and manage new technologies
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.
